Product Description: Join us for a transformative week-long Beehive Building and Beekeeping Workshop at Primal Path Academy, located in the serene countryside of Caldwell County, TX, just 45 min South of Austin. This immersive workshop is designed for anyone interested in starting their own beekeeping journey or deepening their knowledge of sustainable beekeeping practices. Guided by experienced apiarists, you’ll learn everything from building a beehive from scratch to managing a thriving bee colony. This workshop covers essential topics such as bee biology, hive maintenance, honey extraction, and the critical role bees play in our ecosystems. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced beekeeper, this workshop offers a comprehensive learning experience in a supportive, community-focused environment.
Participants will enjoy gourmet farm-to-table meals with organic, gluten-free, and vegetarian options available for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Accommodation is BYO tent or camper, with RV hookups available for your convenience. Modern indoor bathrooms and A/C ensure a comfortable and restful stay.
By the end of this workshop, you’ll have built your own functional beehive, gained practical beekeeping skills, and developed a deeper appreciation for these vital pollinators and their contribution to our world.
Daily Structure:
“Good Morning, Beekeepers! Breakfast Awaits!” at 6:30 AM. Start your day with a nourishing farm-to-table breakfast, preparing you for a day of hands-on learning and hive building.
The day begins at 8:00 AM with guided instruction and practical activities led by our expert apiarists.
“Take a Break, Replenish Your Energy – Lunch is Served!” at 11:45 AM. Enjoy a satisfying midday meal, with plenty of organic, gluten-free, and vegetarian options to keep you energized for the afternoon.
Work continues from 12:30 PM until 2:30 PM, when it’s time for our Beat The Heat Break. Relax in the A/C, and discuss the second half of the day’s activities with your fellow participants.
From 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, return to the workshop, applying your skills to new challenges and refining your techniques.
Finally, at 7:30 PM, “Dinner Time! Reflect and Rejuvenate with a Delicious Meal!” Gather around for a gourmet dinner, sharing stories and insights from the day’s activities.
Daily Breakdown:
Day 1: Introduction to Beekeeping and Hive Building

Introducing a Bee Colony: Learn how to introduce a new bee colony to your hive. Understand the process of acquiring bees, whether through purchasing a nuc (nucleus colony), a package of bees, or capturing a swarm.

Day 4: Honey Production and Extraction
